This is the HarmonicDyne Black Hole. It's my first headphone from HarmonicDyne, and I had high hopes given the company's reputation for making great over-ear dynamics.

I'm comparing the Black Hole to the headphones I already own, which include: Focal Celestee, Hifiman HE-X4, Thieaudio Ghost, 1More Triple Drivers (over-ear), Drop Panda, and V-Moda XS (on-ear).
The HarmonicDyne Black Hole is more of a semi-open-back headphone. Traditionally, on an open-back headphone, the back is open, but on the BH, the sides of the back of the headphone are open in some areas.
This review/first impression will be short, so I'll get right to the sound. These headphones are extremely dependent on the song, mainly songs that aren't rock or metal or that don't have a lot of sibilance. They can get very sibilant or sharp on the 's' sounds.
As for rock music, the electric guitars can get kind of muffled by the bass, so they won't come out as clear and attacking.

For example, in 'Unchained' by Van Halen, the guitar in the intro doesn't sound as alive or present as it should, because in that song, the guitar is supposed to be in your face for the intro, and it just doesn't sound or feel that way. I believe this is because the bass is bleeding into the mids. Although I can't be 100% sure as I can't find a graph out there to confirm this, I'm just telling you what I'm hearing. All in all, there are way better headphones than this one for $100 or under, or $100-200. I haven't seen many reviews on this headphone, so I thought you, the people, should know.
I recommend not buying these headphones and going for something like the Thieaudio Ghost or HD6XX. Thanks for reading, and hoped this helped!
